"I behold the Christ in you, here the life of God I see;
I can see a great peace too, I can see you whole and free.
I behold the Christ in you. I can see this as you walk;
I see this in all you do, I can see this as you talk."
From the poem I Behold the Christ in You by Frank B. Whitney

Who we are We Are New Thought Christians
Angelus Fellowship is a member of the world-wide spiritual community of New Thought Practical Christianity and Spirituality. New Thought faith centers operate as study groups, home churches and large church congregations throughout the United States and around the world. Rev. John Huffman was Ordained in 2004 by Dr. Mike Costello who was the spiritual leader at Angelus Fellowship from 1979 to 2011.
Our fellowship was founded in 1927 by Dr. Eugene E. and Hattie I. Garlichs with churches in Long Beach and Hollywood, California. We share common core beliefs with other New Thought Christians in a Loving God, Affirmative Prayer, Spiritual Healing, the Power of Mind Action and the ultimate Universal Salvation all people, regardless of religion, faith or lack thereof.
As New Thought Christians we lay aside much of the dogma, doctrine and creeds established by the traditional church councils following the death of Jesus. We have no dogma, doctrine, creeds or canons in our tradition. We affirm the spiritual teachings of Jesus Christ as interpreted by each individual without the need for priestly, pastoral or church mediation. We invite everyone to live according to Christ-based transforming principles taught by Jesus regardless of faith, belief or lack thereof, or belief in the divinity or person of Jesus. We proclaim the Gospel taught by Jesus not the Gospel about Him. There is no requirement to be in agreement with us. Everyone who comes among us is welcome to accept or reject any part of our teaching or tradition.
We welcome people of all faiths and religions to fellowship with us. We do not evangelize or seek to convert persons of any other faith. We promote civility, inclusiveness, understanding and mutual respect . We welcome diversity believing it promotes Unity and Love between people. Dual members are welcome, meaning you are welcome to be a member at Angelus and concurrently any another church(s) as you wish.
Dr. Eugene E. and Hattie I. Garlichs (photo right) are the Founders of our Fellowship. The other individuals pictured here are the Founders of other New Thought groups.

"Happines, Health and Prosperity belong to my Kingdom and life. They are a gift from God that I gladly accept knowing the gift is not mine alone but is given to all people. I share this Truth freely scattering it to everyone I meet, inviting others to do likewise -- this is the joy of living the Christ-like life and the loving duty of a Truth student."
